Our Story
Swan Aquatics was founded in 2014 by Melissa Swanson after a near-drowning incident during a private swim lesson. That experience made one thing clear: qualified aquatic safety professionals shouldn't be hard to find.
What started as a small operation managing municipal and HOA pools in California has grown into a multi-state aquatic safety network serving thousands of clients. Lifeguard for Hire was launched to bring that same expertise to private events — giving homeowners, event planners, and businesses access to the same caliber of lifeguard that protects public facilities.
Today, we operate across 10 states with over 200 certified staff members. Every lifeguard in our network holds a current American Red Cross certification, has been background-checked, and is covered under our $10M liability insurance policy. We are a BBB Accredited Business and an SBA-certified Women-Owned Small Business.
